Framework Versions

Details on each framework version, the timeline and items on our roadmap.

Overview

The ST4S Framework is usually updated twice a year along with criteria published on our website. The status of each framework version (latest, active, deprecated etc) is maintained here.

Any framework version marked ‘Latest’ or ‘Active’ is currently considered by the ST4S Working Group. Versions marked as ‘Transitioning’ may be considered depending on the School, ST4S Working Group member etc.

A summary of each framework version is listed below along with its status. Each framework version has a corresponding article providing the details of its release date, notable changes and information for both Schools, ST4S Working Group members and companies on transitioning.

What's Current

The latest version of the framework is v2024.1 and versions v2023.1 and v2023.2 remain current. Differences between v2023.1 through to v2024.1 are related to the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Module only.

Versions

v2023.2 (ACTIVE)

The AI Module was introduced in response to the Ministerial Framework for AI in Education, as well as other emerging best practices and industry guidance.
